Citizens are testing the TRUST aWARE digital solution to help improve their online privacy and security

Fifty-six participants have participated so far in the first workshops and events to test and co-create the TRUST aWARE digital tool in Spain hosted by Fundación Cibervoluntarios.

💡 Citizens are testing the #TRUSTaWARE digital solution to help improve their online #privacy and #security through a series of pilot sessions that it is been taking place in Italy, Romania, France and Spain hosted by the piloting partners Fondazione Mondo Digitale, Association E-Seniors and InfoCons.

💻 How does the Tool works and what are the citizens testing? Participants navigate assisted by trainers though the panel. Each of the four sections of the dashboar has a specific functionality, all related to Security and Privacy on the Internet:

✅ “Privacy Summary” analyses and simplifies privacy policies of websites or tools commonly used digital media (social networks, mobile applications, etc.).

✅ The “Security Scan” scans files and websites for viruses.

✅  “Ads Analytics” is a browser extension that analyses the ads a person receives on Facebook and report about the reasons. (For example, it indicates how your browser history affects the announcements received).

✅ The “Education Section” contains online educational materials on security and privacy on the Internet.

🧑🏻‍💻👩🏽‍💻🔐 How do these workshops and events work?

➡️ During the workshops we show how the TRUST aWARE tools panel works and we ask you to interact and give us your opinions and impressions about the appearance, relevance and operation of the platform. The opinions received both in person and online are taken into account to improve and update the TRUST aWARE panel of tools based on the results of all the tests.

These pilot sessions will last till the end of March 2023 and will reach 400 participants.
